Yves Attal, Executive Producer, was educated in France and England. After being called to the bar he practiced as a lawyer for several years and in 1991 joined CIBY 2000 as director of international projects, working on the financing of films directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, David Lynch, Wim Wenders and others. In 1993, he founded Iris Films and in 1994 produced the record breaking Italian box-office hit, "Il Monstro", directed by Roberto Benigni, who also stars. Attal oversaw "Rough Magic" for French film corporation UGC Images, which financed the production.

UGC Images is continuing its policy of co-production in French and overseas projects by increasing its participation in projects and by involving itself at an early stage of development.

UGC Images produced "Une Femme Francaise" directed by Regis Wargnier and continues to work with certain producers such as Georges Benayoun, Vera Belmont and Yves Attal.

UGC Images is currently involved in the following films which are in production: "Stealing Beauty' by Bernardo Bertolucci (produced by Jeremy Thomas), "Life in Red" by Pavel Lounguine and "Chinese Portraits" by Martine Dugowson (produced by Georges Benayoun), "A Bastard's Children" by Tonie Marshall (produced by Michel Propper)...
